We are ringing in the New Year in Warsaw, Poland with our dear friends and looking forward to a 2018 of continued adventures & lots of laughter. In Poland, fireworks are called firework-“ees” (spelled fajerwerki) which makes us giggle – we’re having a blast learning new words and customs during our travels this holiday season.
As we head off to our Polish festivities & firework-“ees”, I thought I’d share a fun tradition my family has been doing for the last several years – I keep a family notebook that I pull out every year to ask (and document) a short list of new years questions/prompts (which I stole fromĀ Design Mom) of the girls and Brad and I too. We keep them in a special family notebook that is only used for this purpose. The best part is pulling out the notebook each year to see what we wrote previous years! But I also love thinking through some goals for the New Year with my family.
Here are the prompts in case you want to give it a try!
- This year, I want to learn…
- I want to read…
- I want to make…
- I want to visit…
- I want to change…
- I want to be better at…
- Most of all I want…
Happy New Year wherever you are & we’ll see you in 2018!
