These days, whether we are traveling or home in Nashville, my girls fully expect me to pull over on the side of the road to photograph a beautiful mural or piece of street art. In fact, sometimes they’ll ask me if we can go “muraling” after school or on the weekends! I’ve affectionately called it “Music City Muraling.”
If you haven’t already, check out my first post – 11 Nashville Murals We Love! As I’ve said before, I love the creativity and accessibility of street art in cities around the world and today, I’m sharing 7 more amazing murals that you can find in our hometown of Nashville – please tag us if you visit them and let us know your favorites around town!
Happy Muraling!
1. Wish For Peace

Location: 4822 Charlotte Pike
This mural popped up last fall and it is our new favorite. We love the origami cranes and the peaceful message it implies.
2. Good Food For Good People

Another beautiful mural with a good message in West Nashville. We also adore all of the great work Good Food For Good People do for our community.
3. The Nashville Quilt
Artist: WHAT.CreativeGroup; Patches by WHAT. Creative Group, Poverty & the Arts, Room in the Inn, Oasis Center Nashville and Park Center Nashville
Location: 28th and Charlotte Avenue
This one is made up of quilt squares from artists in Nashville participating in local arts programming. It is located on the “off The Wall” art installation on Charlotte with many other incredible murals. You can read more about The Nashville Quilt Project here.
4. Draper James Stripes
Artist: Draper James Store
Location: 2702 12th Ave. South
Across the street from the “I Believe in Nashville” mural, the Draper James stripes are always fun to photograph. There is also a bench and window display that is a great photo op.
5. Hillsboro Dragon
Location: 1212 Belcourt Avenue (in between Posh and Pangea)
Artists: David Glick and Adam Rudolph
The Dragon in Hillsboro Village is a family favorite around here. The artists who created this mural also received some help in painting it from students at Eakin Elementary School! It was completed in over three years in 1995.
6. Downtown Face
Location: 530 Church St.

This stunning piece is always a show-stopper when walking down Church.
7. Puzzle Wall
Location: 4710 Church St. (Directly across from the downtown library entrance.

My girls and I love this creative downtown mural that we admire when walking out of the downtown library. It looks as if the building is being built out of puzzle pieces. It’s a bit puzzling!
