Today I’m sharing part 2 of my favorite kid & parent-friendly restaurants in Nashville (make sure to check out Part 1 here<\/a>). This series may keep going indefinitely because their are SO MANY delicious & creative family-friendly spots here in Nashville – and new places popping up by the week, it seems. My requirements are simple – the restaurant needs to serve alcohol – so that parents can relax and unwind – have a solid, tasty menu and bonus points if there is something specifically focused towards the kids. Please share your favorites in the comments and happy family date nights!<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Burger Up\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

As I\u2019ve said before, you can\u2019t go wrong with burgers and beer. \u00a0The atmosphere at Burger Up is fun and communal \u2013 the bench seating is perfect for kids.\u00a0\u00a0Their kids menus are pasted on the inside of a Dr. Seuss book \u2013 so after they order, they can read!\u00a0\u00a0Genius!<\/span><\/p>\n

2. \u00a0Edley\u2019s<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

My 10-year-old insisted that I include Edley\u2019s in this list \u2013 which is a good sign because she is also my pickiest eater! We just got an Edley\u2019s on my side of town (walking distance to my house, actually) \u2013 but there are two more locations in Nashville and another in Lexington, Ky. They have a great menu, a fabulous bar, a beautiful outdoor dining area, and my kids can eat their weight in Edley’s banana pudding. You have to wait in line to order and they bring the food to your table. Also, drinks have to be ordered at the bar \u2013 but the restaurant is festive and local and perfect for a family night out.<\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Two Bits<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

I recommend you go early (but honestly, I recommend that for all of these hot spots with your little tikes). Two Bits has a unique menu (confit wings, pimento cheese BLT & more – yum!) a full bar and they serve kid drinks in honey bears.\u00a0 Also, they have a shuffleboard table, arcade games and board games \u2013 all free for guests to enjoy with your beer (& bear).<\/p>\n

4. Bella Napoli\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Bella Napoli serves classic Italian thin crust pizza which I love!\u00a0 The house wine is delicious, the kids can color on the white paper table clothes and then the whole crew can stop next door at Legato Gelato<\/a> for dessert.\u00a0 Another perfect family date night!<\/p>\n

5. The Old School Farm to Table<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t taken my kids here yet, but it is high on my list. Situated on a nine-acre farm, only ten minutes from downtown Nashville, The Old School has outside dining, a large event barn, a speakeasy-style music room and a fully restored historic 1936 schoolhouse. There is so much to see and do for families. The food is unbelievable. The kids menu includes several favorites and one of their desserts is a bottle of farm fresh milk and cookies. If that doesn\u2019t scream childhood, I\u2019m not sure what does. Finally, when you eat at the restaurant, you also support the\u00a0Old School Farm<\/a><\/u>\u00a0whose primary mission is to provide employment to adults with intellectual disabilities.\u00a0I just adore everything about this special place in Nashville.<\/p>\n
