This enchanting town, known for its stunning red rock formations and mystical energy, provided the perfect backdrop for a family trip spanning ages 13 to 80. Each family took turns cooking dinner, creating a fun rhythm of shared meals and family time\u2014except for our one big celebratory meal out. It&#8217;s a moderate 6 mile round trip.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also visited <strong>Montezuma Castle National Monument<\/strong>, where there\u2019s a short paved trail and a fascinating look at ancient cliff dwellings. While there, we met artist Joshua Ballze (@jurassic_paleoart_expo_jpx), who has ancestral ties to the area and had just installed new paintings in the visitors center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tip: I swear by the @alltrails app to choose hikes by difficulty, length, and popularity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\" wp-block-heading\">Mystical Moments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several of us had our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sedona.org\/top-attractions-in-sedona-az\/have-your-aura-photographed-in-mystical-sedona\/\">auras photographed and analyzed<\/a><\/strong>\u2014a unique Sedona experience! I learned that my aura is orange, which means artistic and full of physical-creative energy. There are many spas, but try to make treatment reservations well in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\" wp-block-heading\">Pickleball, Disc Golf &amp; Family Fun<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was <strong>lots of family pickleball<\/strong>\u2014my mom&#8217;s a total pro and has been playing several times a week for the past decade. We ordered an affordable paddle and ball set on Amazon and left it behind for future VRBO guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brad, as always, scoped out a local <strong>disc golf course<\/strong> (a beautiful one!) and often played early morning rounds with my mom\u2014an unexpected bonding activity they both loved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\" wp-block-heading\">Dinner with a View<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our one night out was at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehudsonsedona.com\/\">The Hudson Sedona<\/a><\/strong>, an upscale restaurant with killer food, cocktails, and sweeping views of the red rocks. But be warned\u2014the traffic can get pretty bad during peak hours, especially midday. If you\u2019re planning excursions or meals out, build in extra time to avoid frustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\" wp-block-heading\">Final Thoughts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was my third time in Sedona, and each visit brings something new\u2014whether it\u2019s a jaw-dropping view, a mystical surprise, or a meaningful moment with family.
